  • Does the WoodPad need batteries?
  • The pad of WoodPad is USB powered. And the pen is BatteryFree.

 

  • Does the WoodPad work with Apple computers?
  • The WoodPad works with Mac OS X 10.11 and later versions. But it does not work with your iPhone or iPad.

 

  • Do I need gloves to use this drawing tablet?
  • You don't need to wear a glove while using The WoodPad. The surface of the pad delivers comfortable temperature to your drawing hand and the surface is covered with scratch resistant coating.

 

  • Does the pen have an eraser end?
  • The pen does not have an eraser end. But you can define the pen button in the driver for personal setting and features.

 

  • Can I replace other graphics tablet’s pen nibs on the WoodPad pen?
  • Please use the original pen nibs to do replacements. And avoid using other non-original ones in case of malfunction.

 

  • What type of pen nibs comes with WoodPad?
  • Every WoodPad comes with 4 pen nibs, including 1 FELT that is already on the pen, and additional 3 pcs in the box, 1 FELT and 2 HARD.

 

  • How long can these pen nibs last?
  • Each pen nib can last around 150,000 taps in duration test. However, the performance of the pen tip depends on customers using behaviour.

 

  • What type of USB port is on the WoodPad?
  • Micro-USB port on the WoodPad and Standard USB port at the computer connection

 

  • Does Woodpad includes the warranty?
  • Yes, customers who buy on Amazon.com can directly enjoy warranty service provided by Amazon.com. Also, you can contact us if you have any problem with the product, email us to service@thewoodpad.com. For USA and Canada, warranty period is 1 year.
  • The pen is not working.
  • Please check if the mouse can be controlled by the pen hovering over the WoodPad. If not, please check if the cable is firmly connected on both ends. If you have 2 USB ports on your computer, please try with another port or test with another computer. If none of the above can make the pen work, please contact the shop you buy from for a replacement.

 

  • Pressure sensitivity is not available
  • Some applications require additional settings to turn on pressure sensitivity. Please be sure you have set certain software correctly or test in another software. If the software is in the right condition, then the WoodPad driver may not installed completely or isn't load properly. Please check the condition of the driver. You also can try to reinstall the driver directly

 

  • Clicking/Double-clicking is difficult to operate
  • The force required to activate clicking can be verified by pen pressure or TIP OF MOUSE. To change pen pressure, please access the driver, the felt(softer) setting can be the solution. Also in the driver, by increasing the TIP DOUBLE CLICK DISTANCE, the time gap of 2 clicks can be wider, it will be easier for you to launch programs with double clicks

 

  • You notice a delay at the beginning of the pen strokes
  • In the WoodPad driver, decreasing the TIP DOUBLE CLICK DISTANCE to make the detection of pen clicks sharper

 

  • The pen side switch does not work
  • The pen and its buttons are only active when the pen can control hover of the mouse, the reading height is about 10 mm (0.39 inch) above the pad.
  • You also can check the settings of the pen buttons in the driver. If you can drive a function in certain software but fail to function in other software, please send an email to us to look into the driver. email: service@thewoodpad.com. If CLICK and TAP are selected, you will need to first press the side switch while touching the pen tip to the drawing pad surface in order to perform a click function.

 

  • The cursor keeps jumping in and out of multiple screens while I moving the pen
  • Open the WoodPad driver and go to the MAPPING. Verify that PEN MODE is selected and that the SCREEN AREA is set to the area you want the pen to be active. If this does not help, click on the DEFAULT button to reestablish tablet to screen mapping. If you are still having difficulty, please remove the tablet preferences

 

  • The cursor is jittering/trembling, or the line you are drawing is wobbling
  • Please avoid putting anything has strong magnetic field near the WoodPad when WoodPad is underused, such as cell phone and magnet. If none of the possible magnetic stuff is around, please record the problematic situation and contact us via email or Facebook Fan Page. We will conduct a problem with you.   • What are PEN MODE and MOUSE MODE mean?
  • These 2 modes stand for different protocols of mouse control. Some software is better organized with the protocol of mouse and some prefer pen protocol. Generally, the WoodPad can communicate with the software to select the best mode automatically. But if you feel weird while using the software, you can select between these modes for an ideal feeling

 

  • After plugging in the tablet, a message appears indicating that the USB device needs more power than is available
  • This is a very rare case. Be sure the tablet USB cable is plugged into a primary USB port (directly into your computer) or into a qualified powered USB hub
